William R. Burke ("Will") was one of only 54 attorneys in the entire country in 2006 to be invited to participate in the prestigious Trial Lawyers College in Dubois, Wyoming. The college was founded by nationally renowned attorney, Gerry Spence.

Each year nationwide, hundreds and even thousands of hopeful attorneys apply for acceptance into the program. Following an arduous selection process including a review of the candidate's experience, references, and topical essays, Will was selected to receive one of the coveted spots.

The Trial Lawyers College is an intensive, nearly month-long, hands-on program that emphasizes personal growth and self-knowledge as the basis of being an effective trial attorney. Spence, who is considered by many to be one of the greatest trial attorneys to have ever lived, describes the Trial Lawyers College as being "dedicated to training and educating lawyers and judges who are committed to the jury system and to representing and obtaining justice for individuals."

During his time at Spence's Thunderhead Ranch, outside of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Will had the opportunity to live on the ranch with some of America's greatest trial lawyers and to learn from their personal guidance. He, along with the other attorneys, took on the roles of the various courtroom participants — the attorneys, the witnesses, the judges, and the jurors. Will had the opportunity to share, collaborate, teach, and learn with America's preeminent attorneys.

Will stated: "I was humbled and thankful to have been accepted to the program. Although it was not ideal to be gone from my family and my law practice for nearly a month, this incredible opportunity to learn and to grow personally and professionally was too important to pass up.
